Memorial Day Weekend 2011

I am looking forward to my time off this coming Memorial Day weekend. I will be leaving the Adirondack Mountains and making my first travel to the Green Mountain State to attend Vermont Thunder, which is put on by Vietnam veterans to honor the fallen soldiers from that state and others. They will honor those who are MIA and always welcome anyone who wants to attend. There is a ceremony at the beginning of the run and one at the end in Enosburg Falls, VT. This will be year five for me. I will return home for the night and will be over in Plattsburgh, NY for the ceremony at the park/wall there. This will be year four there for me. Disabled American Vets Chapter 179 puts on this ceremony and being some of the best people I know, I email and talk with them often. I try to support both groups knowing how much time and effort they put in for these great causes. Remember awareness of veterans is always important.
See you on the Road!

Time to

Time to Ride! Geez, it has been a bit again since I last entered something here. This past month there has been snow, lots of rain (and I mean lootttss of rain), and today the sun has made an appearance. I have ridden a few days over the last couple weeks. So far the start to my riding season has been a little slow, but it will get here fast enough. I have been looking at some new areas to ride since moving farther west into the mountains of NY. Old Forge, NY is now with an easy riding distance and, of course, Lake George, NY is still within easy reach. Now that the rain is slowly going away I hope the water will recede in a hurry back into the normal paths of flow. I have some footage of Route 3 near Tupper Lake, NY (about 40 mins from Lake Placid, our Olympic Village) and will be posting it up on the site.
We have change the email address to vooch470@hotmail.com instead of using news@motorcyclenewengland.com due to the original server has a issue with paying attention to complaints from use site tenders. Anyways it is Time to Ride!
See you on the Road!
